Tony Rominger ?
[edit]PL hàd as a matter of fact some succes in the Vuelta with three victories of Tony Rominger, who also once took the second place in the tour. There was also Abraham Olano, who was promising in stage races, and Pavel Tonkov. Also, Frank Vandenbroucke once won Paris-Nice - although that's a minor stage race. With Tom Steels, Tom Boonen, Johan Museeuw, Richard Virenque and Stefano Zanini, there he also had good results in sprints and other stages of the tour the France. It is certainly true that PL seldom focussed on the tour, but to say that there was no succes whatsoever is wrong, imo. --Selach 16:04, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Involvement in doping
[edit]There's currently a lot to do about the involvement of PL in doping practices. He's already admitted of having doped himself with amphetamines while he was still a rider. The Flemish newspaper 'Het Laatste Nieuws' and the politician Jean-Marie Dedecker are speaking about à Operacion Puerto-like system in Belgium. When rumours get verified, this should be added. --Selach 16:04, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
